TOWN OF GRANBY
SPECIAL MEETING
JUNE 1, 2017
6:00 P.M.
CALL TO ORDER
Supervisor
Williamson called the meeting to order at 6:08 P.M. Present for the roll call were Supervisor Ed
Williamson, Councilors Eric Clothier, Tracy Doyle, Melissa Fortier and Lori
Thrall. Deputy Supervisor John Snow, Jr.
was also present. There were 5 Residents
in attendance.
The
Board discussed the appointment of an interim Highway Superintendent to take
over for Jeffrey Richards whose resignation became effect May 31, 2017.
The
Board then made a motion to open the floor to Peter Holmes and Michael Longo
who both stated they were interested in the position.
Councilor
Clothier made a motion, seconded by Councilor Doyle to enter into Executive
Session to discuss the employment history of a particular employee, all were in
favor, none opposed.
The
Board entered into Executive Session at 6:25 P.M.
Councilor
Fortier made a motion, seconded by Councilor Clothier to re-convene the
meeting, all were in favor, none opposed.
The
meeting was re-convened at 7:08 P.M.
Councilor
Doyle stated the Board had decided not to appoint anyone that may be running for
the position in fairness to all of the potential candidates
Councilor
Doyle made a motion, seconded by Councilor Thrall to appoint Dean Ingersoll
as
interim Highway Superintendent, a roll call vote was taken

Councilor
Doyle made a motion, seconded by Councilor Thrall to adjourn the meeting, all
were in favor, none opposed.
