TOWN OF GRANBY
BUDGET WORKSHOP
OCTOBER 17, 2016
5:30 P.M.
Deputy
Supervisor/Budget Officer John Snow Jr. called the meeting to order at 5:42
P.M. Councilors Eric Clothier, Tracy
Doyle and Melissa Fortier were present.
Highway Superintendent Jeff Richards was also present. Supervisor Williamson was not present. There were no Residents in attendance.
Budget
Officer Snow Jr. gave the Board an overview of the Budget process and dates
they need to be aware of. He then
proceeded to go over the Highway portion of the Budget and also the Special
Districts. The Board was in agreement
with these sections of the Budget and made no changes.
Discussion
was then started on the General portion of the Budget. The Board raised the Tax Collection line item
from $1,500.00 to $2,500.00. Budget
Officer Snow Jr explained this was a new line item last year and we are still
trying to get a good estimate of expenses in this area.
The
Board will continue with the General portion of the Budget at the next meeting
on Monday October 24th at 5:30 P.M.
Councilor
Clothier made a motion, seconded by Councilor Doyle to adjourn the Budget
Workshop, all were in favor, none opposed.
