PUBLIC WORK SESSION

NOVEMBER 24, 2015

7:00 P.M.

 

CALL TO ORDER

 

Supervisor Williamson called the meeting to order at 7:01 P.M.   Present for the roll call were; Supervisor Ed Williamson, Councilors Matt Callen, Eric Clothier and Brenda Frazier-Hartle.  Councilor Lori Blackburn was not present. Deputy Supervisor John Snow Jr. was also present.  There were 2 Residents in attendance.

 

COMMUNICATIONS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

OLD BUSINESS

 

The Public Hearing for the 2016 Budget was held on November 10, 2015.  There were no questions or comments from the Public.

 

A Special Meeting was held on November 17, 2015 to appoint a Justice for the position left vacant by the resignation of Justice Bruce Wells.  Lesley Schmidt, Esq. was appointed to fill the vacancy. 

 

The Town has received notice from the Teamsters about the rate increase for Medicare Supplement Plan F with Prescription Benefit Health Program.  The present rate is $428.35 and will increase to $467.84.

 

The closing for Water Service Area 6A was held on November 16, 2015.  The interest rate is .97%.  The Town will be reimbursed for startup funds.

MOTIONS AND RESOLUTIONS

 

PAYMENT OF TOWN BILLS

 

Councilor Clothier made a motion to pay the Town Bills as audited on Abstract #22, Councilor Callen seconded the motion, Supervisor Williamson was in favor, Councilor Frazier-Hartle was opposed. 

 

          General Fund                    $8,406.66               Highway Fund          $1,999.20

          Capital Projects (WSA 6A)  $5,925.00

 

 

DATES FOR UPCOMING MEETINGS

 

Town Board Meeting                   December  9, 2015 at 7:00 P.M.

Public Work Session                     December 30, 2015 at 6:00 P.M.

 

Councilor Frazier-Hartle shared information regarding the Tax Rebates checks residents should be receiving.  The Phoenix School Districts stayed under the tax cap, so residents in the Town of Granby that live in the Phoenix School District will be getting rebate checks from the State.  

 

ADJOURNMENT

 

Councilor Clothier made a motion to adjourn the meeting, Councilor Callen              seconded the motion, all were in favor, none opposed.
