PUBLIC COMMENT:

COMMUNICATIONS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS:

The Town Board has a copy of the Mortgage Tax Report for the years 2011 to current.  The Board should be aware of the drastic reduction in Mortgages.  This, if it continues will affect our 2015 budget.  We should be looking to find ways of making up this loss.

The Town Board has a copy of the Sales Tax Report from 2011 to current.  You will note from 1st quarter of 2013 to 1st quarter of 2014 a drop of $12,147.27.  We need to look at these losses carefully.

The Town Board received a copy of the letter from NYS Deferred Compensation Plan at the 5/28/14 meeting.  Have you reviewed this & what do you want to do?

The Town Board has received the notice of 100% equalization rate for 2014.

The Town has received a letter and an Agriculture & Farmland Protection Plan from the Town of Ira Supervisor.  The Town of Ira is interested as to our opinion of this Protection Plan.  Each Board Member should read this over and talk to our local farmers and see how they feel.  As Supervisor I believe we should protect our rural farm land.  The Town received a letter dated May 14, 2014 covering Farmland Protection.

The Town Planning Board has issued their Notice of Approval for the Fred Raynor Ford Project as of 6/4/14.

Oswego County has issued new hours of operation for the 5 solid waste transfer stations.

Each Board Member is aware that our Highway Superintendent has resigned effective 6/11/14.  The Board needs to go into Executive Session and interview any and all residents who have submitted a letter of interest and then make a final decision.  We need to then inform the public.
